These are just some of the comments from Drive, CarExpert and Carsales who, along with other automotive outlets, recently experienced the new 3.0-litre straight-six, twin-turbo Hurricane engine in the MY25 Ram 1500.

Hurricane 1500s initially arrive in two grades: Standard Output Laramie® Sport with 313kW and 635Nm, or High Output Limited with 403kW and 707Nm. Both variants tick the box when it comes to safety and practicality, with the Limited taking luxury to new heights with front massage seats, 19-speaker Harman Kardon® sound system, dual pane panoramic sunroof and a new 10.25-inch entertainment screen for the passenger.

A new power up/down tailgate, the ever-practical RamBox® Cargo Management system housed in both sides of the truck’s cargo tub, and our famed towing prowess help ensure this next generation of 1500 sets new standards in the full-size pickup truck segment it first created in Australia back in 2015.

More powerful, more efficient, more luxurious – with significant advantages making it a step up, appears to be the verdict from the tough-to-impress motoring critics.
