MARCH - RAM NEWSLETTER
Welcome to the Ram Trucks Australia newsletter – a regular communication from us to you on all things RAM.
Whether you’re an existing customer or just browsing, you’ll know that Ram Trucks Australia started the full-size pick-up truck revolution here back in 2014, leading the way in remanufacturing international specification trucks direct from the US factory into Australian right-hand drive models.
The result? Over 33,000 (and counting!) vehicles on our local roads and recognition that we are the only RAM-authorised importer, full-volume manufacturer and distributor of Ram Trucks for both the Australia and New Zealand markets.
We’re proud of our local heritage and acknowledge the history and success of the brand overseas, too. Indeed, some of the awards the brand has won recently include MotorTrend’s Truck of the Year 2025, JD Power’s #1 Brand in US New Vehicle Quality 2024, and US News’ Best Truck Brand 2024 award, the fifth year in a row!

Storm's a comin'
Brace yourself for a Hurricane. The next-generation Ram 1500 has arrived – the no-compromise benchmark truck for durability, technology, safety and efficiency.
The Hurricane-powered Ram 1500 sets new highs in performance with its new twin-turbo inline 3.0-litre six cylinder engine. It arrives in two editions: the Laramie Sport with the Standard Output (SO) motor delivering 313kW and 635Nm, and the Limited variant with the High Output (HO) unit pumping out a mighty 403kW and 707Nm.
With more power and torque than the 5.7L HEMI V8 – and its rivals in the full-size pick-up segment – the new Ram 1500 is more fuel efficient, quicker and just as capable.
And it’s not just the powertrain that’s been improved. The new Ram 1500 sports an evolutionary exterior design and feature-packed interior including new 14.4-inch passenger infotainment touchscreen, class-exclusive dual wireless phone charging pads with connectivity, and the latest Uconnect 5 operating system accessed through a new 14.4-inch touchscreen.
Naturally, safety is prioritised. Standard features include ParkView rear backup camera with dynamic grid lines, electronic stability control (ESC) with electronic roll mitigation and six standard air bags. Add in Blind-spot Monitoring, Active Drive Assist, Ready Alert Braking and Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning-Plus, Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist and you’ve got a co-pilot with you at all times.
The Ram 1500 is just as capable, too. With up to 4.5-tonne braked towing capacity, five driving modes, powered tailgate and our iconic RamBox storage system, it’s as capable on the worksite as it is the campsite.
And the best bit? The new Ram 1500 is still the most luxurious offering in the segment, with massaging seats (depending on variant) best-in-class rear legroom, panoramic sunroof and more.

Making the switch
We call it remanufacturing – a detailed process that converts international, export-specified left-hand drive models direct from the factory in Michigan, USA, into factory-equivalent right-hand drive models.
Supported by the technical expertise of the Ram Truck engineers in North America, and our dedicated 330+ workforce here in Australia, the detailed remanufacture process is carried out at our OEM-grade Melbourne Manufacturing Facility, a 19,400sqm factory in Victoria.
Each vehicle has over 500 new parts during its remanufacture, many of which are designed and made here in Australia to exacting standards, ensuring each right-hand drive truck meets stringent safety protocols and is compliant with Australian Design Rules for full-volume certification.
With over $400m invested in the factory, research and development, engineering and production of our Ram Trucks here in Australia, it means we are able to produce over 30 trucks per day – and have become one of the biggest automotive employers in the country as a result.
With 75+ dealers across Australia, and a comprehensive three year/100,000 km warranty (whichever comes first), you can be sure of the support of every full-size, right-hand drive Ram Truck.
